How long will my pre‑order take?
Pre‑orders can take up to 6 weeks to complete. Each piece is handmade in my Norfolk studio, and this timeframe allows for throwing, drying, glazing, and firing — all of which take time to do properly.
Will it ever be quicker than 6 weeks?
Absolutely. I always do my best to complete pre‑orders as soon as possible, and many pieces are finished earlier. The 6‑week window simply ensures there’s enough time for the full making process.
Why does it take this long?
Ceramics can’t be rushed. Each piece needs time to dry slowly, be bisque‑fired, glazed, and then fired again. This careful process ensures your piece is strong, beautiful, and made to last.
Will my pre‑order look exactly like the photos?
Every item is handmade, so slight variations in shape, glaze, and finish are completely normal — and part of the charm of owning a unique piece.
Can I check on the progress of my order?
Of course. If you’d like an update at any point, just send me a message and I’ll happily let you know how things are going.
